Marina Projects is delighted that the company continues to be retained by Aldersgate Investments Ltd and Multiplex Constructions Pty Ltd to provide marina consultancy advice on the Eastside Project in Gibraltar.
The on-going role of Marina Projects includes a recent commission to undertake a high level assessment of marina viability, supported by a scope of market analysis, consideration of the key design principles to include a recommendation of the most appropriate berth mix. In summary, the study work required an analysis of the following:
- Market research including review of influencing factors and target markets in both the local and regional context
- Berth mix and occupancy projections
- Identification of the key design issues
- Income projections by proposed activity area plus sensitivities and a review of the main operating expenses
- Assessment of business growth potential and key sensitivities
An objective and clear focus was required throughout to ensure that the marina will truly support and contribute to the overall development aim of establishing Eastside as a vibrant and prestigious mixed-use waterfront with an internationally renowned marina providing destination appeal for both domestic and visitor markets alike.
