Poole Harbour second crossing

Marina Projects was appointed by Marina Developments Ltd (MDL) to provide expert witness evidence to the Public Inquiry into the Borough of Poole’s application for consent under the Transport and Works Act for the construction of a second opening bridge across Holes Bay, Poole Harbour.

MDL own and operate the 1,000 berth Cobb’s Quay Marina which is located upstream of the proposed second opening bridge. Expert evidence was presented to the inquiry to cover a number of topics, most notably in relation to the Council’s proposed operating regime and the negative impact this would create on existing and future levels of leisure traffic. Evidence also covered navigation considerations for both commercial and leisure vessels, capacity and design of the holding basin, health and safety issues, navigation risk assessment and associated infrastructure.

Marina Projects was also appointed to represent Davis’s Boatyard, the marina site immediately adjacent to Cobb’s Quay Marina.
