Securing licences and permissions for maintenance dredging for Davis’s Boatyard
Marina Projects has been retained by Davis’s Boatyard in Poole to assist with the securing of the necessary licences and permissions required to undertake maintenance dredging at their marina site in Holes Bay. Historically permissions have been difficult to achieve due to the presence of historic contamination in the area and to date a 12-month disposal licence was the maximum period granted by the licensing authorities.
Following successful pre-application consultation and a comprehensive application process Marina Projects has now successfully secured a 3-year disposal licence, issued by the Marine & Fisheries Agency under the Food & Environment Protection Act (FEPA).
